![]() ![]() just the tight fit of the panel when replaced is all it needs to keep from moving. It stays up there pretty well without any additional points of attachement. The SLI box kind of rests up against the outer wall of the truck, not toward the firewall but the right side of the fender area. It took 2 minutes to pull it out and unplug. And, I recently sent my SLI back to Vaistech for an update. LouI did the exact same installation as described above. ![]() In case you didin't know, the Ipod will charge whenever the truck is running - nice touch. I found the glove box to be the best place for it. So, then I tried to store the Nano flat, while connected, in the asktray - still no room. ![]() I would be able to see it, but there isn't enough room. I thought it would be cool to tap the ashtray and stick the Nano in the base. I had tried to install the Ipod Nano base in the ash tray to make it of use. Just make sure the wire wire feels free in the glove box, so you are sure it is no catching when you open and close the glove box. Also, thread the Ipod connector into the glove box from the side or top, there is plenty of space. You will need to thread the wires from behind the dash to the unit, very easy. No need for velcro or wire ties, it is nested in to keep it secure and not rattle. The unit just sits on the panel and gets a slight squeeze when you fasten the panel back on. ![]() Lower the front and gently pull towards the passenger seat to free the rear stem from the slot it fits into. There is one phillips screw and three clips holding the panel up front. Install the unit above the padded plastic panel below the glove box. Yes, the dash instructions are good, but leave the glove box and cd changer alone. ![]()
